Face it; there are a ton of homes out there right now that are being foreclosed on and honestly it is extremely hard to sell any houses right now.  Or, on the flip side, if you do sell it – you really are not going to be making any sort of profit off of it due to the fact that you have had to lower the cost at least five times before it finally sold right? 

Have you ever considered, instead of selling your home renting it out?  To be quite frank, in this day and age, people are looking at renting a property versus just buying it so you should have absolutely no problems getting some new tenants in there in absolutely no time!

Two years ago, about 67% of home loans are originated by mortgage brokers. When the bubble burst, their share of the market pie is down to 45%.

In recent years, this wasn’t the case. Mortgage brokers pocketed a lot of commissions from banks and borrowers ended up with very costly loans.

Operation: Green Kitchen!

Recently in the home improvement industry, “green” is connoted for innovative and environment-friendly things. It would be fascinating, since green in not a stranger in our kitchens. So if ever you are planning of giving your kitchen a new twist with remodeling or eco-wise upgrading, experts have their words regarding painting your kitchen green.

Kirsten Ritchie, Director of Sustainable Design for the firm Gensler, said that the kitchen is considered to be the most energy-bathed part of the home. So when it comes of mulling over bringing changes in your home, consider on starting the changes at the kitchen.

According to David Linzer, certified Kitchen Designer, toxic substances, such as urea formaldehyde from plywood can actually bring asthma, cancer and other illnesses inside the home. How do I find the flooding risk when I’m buying new property in a neighborhood?

There are many people who feel they have been cheated after they have purchased a new property. Things are fine for a short period of time but they change as soon as the monsoon sets in. they find that they area is getting flooded and it is not long before the flood water enters their home and creates havoc to their furniture and other things. Those who have suffered the problems of flood know how much financial damage the floods cause by way of damaging furniture, walls, carpets, upholstery and many other things.

FLOODSome people do insure their household items to prevent the loss that a flood might afflict them with. They do not know that with the flood also comes a host of diseases that might land them up with expensive medical bills. When you have paid a good sum of money to purchase a house, you should take precautions to see that you are not plagued with the problems associated by a flood.

Ensure that there are no water bodies like lakes near the place where you are planning to purchase your new flat. Also check out with others about the flooding history of the place. I promise to God I won’t turn this blog into a “show real estate listings” site but I found this villa in Tamarindo, Costa Rica on Costa Rica Real Estate and I’m super-impressed with the value for money this appears to be.

The price tag is just under $675,000 and for a beach view, 3 bad 3 bedder with an awesome view and an excellent pool that’s just no money…

We all know starting to look for a house is like walking into a liquor store and trying to find “a beer”. There’s too much choice in the real estate market and that makes things difficult.

Every once in a while companies try to simplify things and give people advice on how to start their search…

I myself am looking to invest in Chinese real estate and got this e-mail from a company I contacted to do some prospecting… Funny enough to share! ;)
